I'm just trying to figure things out on my own, so I really appreciate your explanation. I'll have to look up Jquery. Never heard of it! Thanks again. :) Thanks for your thoughtful reply. While I use a local wordpress install to try out changes, it is not an elegant solution for content changes as you have to use SQL scripts to move data. This is a more elegant and useful solution for editing and "staging" content. Nice! However, if you want to show more sophisticated movement, link to specific pages or control images through a CMS, you need to go with some sort of script. Nickie – yes, an animated gif can work well. One of the most useful series of articles I've ever read and definitely the best one for categorizing Web sites by cost. It will certainly help me a lot with pitching and pricing projects to clients. More cool stuff is coming! Planning to publish new references plugin some time soon. Allows to automatically insert references into text. The plugins figures out the numbering, anchor links and the rest on its own. Ryan, thanks for the kind words! More cool stuff is coming! Planning to publish new references plugin some time soon. Google Analytics was reporting my PDF file downloads by the click within the hour. Thanks for the clean plugin! I had fooled around with the basic "onclick" event code that google instructs you to insert into your buttons/links, but couldn't get Google Analytics to find it. My Wordpress theme let me deactivate its built in Analytics tracking, and I activated the tracking on this plugin instead. Started working in minutes. I recommend it. Thanks for the feedback. Indeed, the basic implementation of WP allows to do this for posts. And we're considering adding this feature for the pages versioning as well, if I understood you correctly. However, could you make it so the *site user* could compare two different versions of a page? That way two versions of a document, for example, could be compared by the user with the same color coding? This is great. The results are in Google analytics. On the Dashboard page, right under tha map on the right, there's the list of most popular pages. Click to view this whole report and you'll see your page in the results if the plugin was installed correctly and the link was clicked on. Also be sure to select the right time period for the report (by default it might not include today or yesterday). Thanks! Let me know if you have questions. Hi. The results are in Google analytics.
